Basketball Recap: Van Buren Takes a Loss

Van Buren lost against Architecture, Engineering and Construction back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Van Buren Vee Bees were dealt an 83-27 loss at the hands of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Vee Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Tigers are ranked 96th).

Van Buren is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Van Buren will take on Springfield Gardens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers take on the Richmond Hill Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Architecture, Engineering and Construction's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Richmond Hill's offense will have their work cut out for them.
