Volleyball Recap: Freeport's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Freeport had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Christian Life Eagles on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Freeport was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Sam Viveros paced Freeport's offense, picking up eight kills. Viveros got some help from Bryce Mcdanel and his 15 assists. Kurt Guerrero controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Freeport's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Christian Life, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Freeport has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Belvidere on the 13th. As for Christian Life, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Round Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
