Considering the Crusaders have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Johnson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Dayton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Johnson is set to square off against their familiar foe Cranford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dayton will challenge rival Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
