Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Girls Prep Bruisers
After flying high against East Hamilton on Monday, Notre Dame came back down to earth. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Girls Prep Bruisers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Fighting Irish haven't had much luck with the Bruisers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
While Notre Dame was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.
Notre Dame's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Callie McCormick, who had 14 digs and one assist, and Kaylee Pendergrass, who had eight assists and four digs.
Leading Girls Prep to victory were Cat Nygaard and Ellie Holland. Nygaard had 16 digs and four assists, while Holland had eight digs and one assist.
