Baseball Recap: Ardmore Comes Up Short

Ardmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Athens Golden Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 3, 2025.

Ardmore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Athens, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Ardmore will square off against Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens, they will venture away from home to square off against Bayside Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
