Basketball Game Preview: Arrowhead Christian Eagles vs. Ontario Christian Knights

Arrowhead Christian and Ontario Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Arrowhead Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Ontario Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Parker Distleberg and Cole Jones.

Arrowhead Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Hillcrest on Monday. Arrowhead Christian fell 66-53 to Hillcrest. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ontario Christian came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They pulled ahead with a 55-54 photo finish over the Defenders.

Ontario Christian's win came from a few key players Arrowhead Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jones, who posted 20 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Ontario Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Marshall, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Ontario Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Ontario Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
