Softball Recap: Palmyra Panthers vs. Montgomery County Wildcats
Palmyra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Montgomery County Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 14-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Montgomery County, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra will challenge Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Palmyra surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montgomery County, they will host Warrenton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Montgomery County is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
