Baseball Recap: Rosebud-Lott Comes Up Short

The Rosebud-Lott Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls on Saturday and fell 6-5. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rosebud-Lott's loss dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Anderson-Shiro, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosebud-Lott will take on Johnson City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Anderson-Shiro, they will venture away from home to take on East Bernard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Fighting Owls 4, the Brahmas 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
