Volleyball Recap: Greenville's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Zalma on Friday, Greenville came back down to earth. The Bears lost 3-0 to the Bell City Cubs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Cubs: they've now lost three in a row.

Ariel West paced Greenville's offense, picking up eight kills. West got some help from Poppy King and her six assists. King was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Greenville fell to 2-1.

Greenville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Iron at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Bell City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Portageville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
