North Kingstown had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Stephen Dufour did his part to make it eight on Thursday. The Skippers came out on top against the East Providence Townies by a score of 3-1 thanks in part to Dufour, who had 21 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 11 digs per game.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-17, 27-25.

North Kingstown's record is now 8-0. As for East Providence, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Kingstown will take on rival Cranston East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Providence is set to challenge their familiar foe East Greenwich at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
