Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional South had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 1-11 to make it six. They came up short against the Hammond Morton Governors, falling 20-10. That's two games in a row now that the Red Wolves have lost by exactly ten runs.

As for Hammond Morton, they now have a winning record of 3-2. The result was nothing new for the Governors, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Hammond Morton's part, Analiya Feliciano was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five runs. Juleeana Temores was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornton Fractional South will welcome Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hammond Morton, they will host East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Governors are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
