Volleyball Recap: Butler's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Butler had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Fairborn Skyhawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Aviators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Skyhawks, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Butler took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-13.

Butler had a senior duo take command as Laila Neely had 19 digs and eight assists and Gabi Holop had six digs and three aces. Neely is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Butler was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Butler's record now sits at 3-0. As for Fairborn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butler will welcome Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aviators are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fairborn, they will host Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
