Recap: Temple Tigers vs. Irwin County Indians
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Temple Tigers can now relate to. They suffered a tough 41-17 loss at the hands of Irwin County on Friday.
Jackson Gribben threw for 55 yards and a touchdown. Jaiden Mcdaniel was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Maclann Metayer rushed for 75 yards.
Temple has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Irwin County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Temple does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Irwin County will head out on the road to face off against Bleckley County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bleckley County sitting on seven straight wins and Irwin County on three.
