Basketball Game Preview: Stargate School Eagles vs. Arrupe Jesuit Generals

Having just played yesterday, the Stargate School Eagles will get right back to it and host the Arrupe Jesuit Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Stargate School came up short against Prospect Ridge Academy and fell 47-40. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Miners recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the loss, Stargate School saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sloan Kunz went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven steals. Stargate School is 4-2 when Kunz posts five or more steals, but 2-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ava Ridgell, who went 5-for-10 en route to 10 points.

Meanwhile, Arrupe Jesuit can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They breezed past Lake County to the tune of 49-20.

Stargate School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
