Softball Recap: Waterloo Wins Going Away Against Wisconsin Heights

Waterloo won the last time they faced Wisconsin Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates' pitcher stepped up to hand the Vanguards a 15-0 shutout. The match marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season so far.

Ally Schaumann was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schaumann was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Baumann, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Madi McCarthy also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Waterloo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wisconsin Heights struck out six times.
