Basketball Recap: Southmoore SaberCats vs. Norman Tigers

Southmoore and Norman squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Southmoore had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 81-33 loss at the hands of the Norman Tigers. While losing is never fun, the SaberCats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Tigers are ranked second).

Leading Norman to victory were Keeley Parks and Halyn Browning. Parks almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Browning went 9-for-12 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Parks' big performance that evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Blythe Crawley was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 11 points.
