Basketball Recap: St. Augustine Catholic Wolves vs. Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils        
        
		
            
 The St. Augustine Catholic Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They really took it to Santa Cruz Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a  74-27 win at home. St. Augustine Catholic has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  matches by 22  points or more this season.
 St. Augustine Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Megan Callahan led the charge by  scoring 21 points along with eight  assists and six  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kiersten Ball, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 12  assists.
 When it comes to explaining why Santa Cruz Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Jianna Lopez. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 12  rebounds. That was a full 51.9% of Santa Cruz Valley's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Even though they lost, Santa Cruz Valley  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 21  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Augustine Catholic only pulled down 14  offensive rebounds.
 St. Augustine Catholic has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-11.
 St. Augustine Catholic will head out on the road to  face off against  the Hawks at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Tanque Verde is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against the Knights at 5:30  p.m.
