Softball Recap: Lindale Victorious

Lindale's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Wills Point Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Alyssa Potts, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Emma Watkins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Lindale hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Lindale's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wills Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Lindale has already played their next game, an 11-2 defeat against John Paul II on the 15th. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.
