Basketball Recap: Boyd County Piles Up the Points Against Bath County

Boyd County was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bath County on Friday. The Boyd County Lions took their contest with ease, bagging an 87-55 victory over the Bath County Wildcats. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Wildcats are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boyd County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Bath County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Boyd County will take on Estill County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Boyd County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bath County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fleming County at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
