Soccer Recap: Leadership Public Schools Richmond Takes a Loss

Leadership Public Schools Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the De Anza Dons. The Pumas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Joseph De Leon Calderon and Alexander Hernandez scored both of Leadership Public Schools Richmond's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Leadership Public Schools Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for De Anza, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Leadership Public Schools Richmond will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albany at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. De Anza and Bethel will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. De Anza is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.
