Softball Recap: Viewmont Drops Season-High Score on Page

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Viewmont). They blew past the Page Sand Devils 14-0 on Saturday. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Raegyn Dahlke was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ricki Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Viewmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Page, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Viewmont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northridge at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Viewmont will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Page, they will challenge Beaver at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Beaver is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
