Stony Point hadn't done well against Vandegrift recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Stony Point Tigers came out on top against the Vandegrift Vipers by a score of 7-3. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Vipers on their field since March 16, 2021.

With the win, Stony Point broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8-1. As for Vandegrift, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Stony Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against Vista Ridge on the 15th. Vandegrift will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cedar Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st.
