Football Recap: Lansdowne Vikings vs. Carver Vo-Tech Bears
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lansdowne can now relate to. They took a 26-12 bruising from the Carver Vo-Tech Bears on Friday. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.
Ayeden Butler threw for 89 yards and two TDs. Daion Wheeler was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.
A big part of Carver Vo-Tech's victory came down to the chemistry between Dallis Brown and his top target Christian Bryant. Brown rushed for 56 yards and a pair of scores while Bryant gained 159 total yards. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).
Lansdowne's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Carver Vo-Tech, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Lansdowne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-14 loss against C. Milton Wright on the 14th.
