Basketball Recap: Kingsland Comes Up Short

Kingsland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The matchup between them and the Houston Hurricanes didn't end well, with the Kingsland Knights falling 72-57. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 15 points.

Houston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jorja Meyer led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubry Boldt, who went 10 for 18 en route to 21 points.

Kingsland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Houston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Kingsland has already played their next contest (against Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Houston will head out to take on Lyle/Pacelli at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
