Softball Game Preview: Sinatra vs. Bryant Owls

Sinatra hasn't had much luck against Bryant recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Sinatra will head out on the road to face off against Bryant at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sinatra came into this matchup off a tough 15-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Long Island City by a score of 14-12 on Friday. Sinatra has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Bryant's offense. They lost 10-0 to The Baccalaureate School for Global Education on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Owls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bryant's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sinatra, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Sinatra couldn't quite get it done against Bryant in their previous matchup back in May of 2019 as they fell 5-0. Can Sinatra avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
