Softball Recap: Declo Takes a Loss

Declo fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wendell on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Teagan Wickel made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with six stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Amerie Ewell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Declo's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Wendell, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Declo has already played their next game, an 18-1 victory against Soda Springs on the 24th. As for Wendell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-2 win against Malad on the 24th.
