Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Luke Byers: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He picked up 0.5 sacks and made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) as Layton fell to Box Elder 24-6. If Byers keeps it up, we can expect many more highlights to come.

Coming up, Byers and Layton will take on Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Byers had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in August of 2024 23-14.
