Windsor Locks had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the South Hadley Tigers 9-2. The Raiders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024.

Zavier Hunt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hunt was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Hunt wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Ramirez has posted since back in April of 2024. Mark Mona III was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Windsor Locks is taking a road trip to square off against Holyoke at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Hadley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as South Hadley Tigers duke it out with Palmer Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
