John Hebert Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Strake Jesuit got the W thanks in part to John Hebert playing the best football he has all season. Hebert rushed for 420 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run.

If history really does repeat itself, Hebert might just drop another big game when he faces off against Alief Elsik on Friday. When Hebert last faced the Rams back in September of 2023, he rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Patrick Broadway Ii Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Fulshear was led to victory by Patrick Broadway Ii, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Broadway Ii rushed for 235 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.

Broadway Ii might have his next game, a road matchup with Foster, circled on his calendar. When Broadway Ii last faced the Falcons back in November of 2023, he picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
