Softball Recap: Edgerton Comes Up Short

Whitewater hit Edgerton with a six-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crimson Tide came up short against the Whippets, falling 14-7. The Crimson Tide were not able to make up for their loss to the Whippets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Edgerton and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Whitewater, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Edgerton and Whitewater will both be playing Monroe the next time they take the field. The Crimson Tide will head out to face the Cheesemakers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Whippets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
