Softball Recap: O'Donnell Comes Up Short

O'Donnell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Borden County Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-5 two weeks ago.

O'Donnell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Desiree Tamez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Aurora Valenzuela also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

O'Donnell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Borden County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Coming up, O'Donnell will challenge Midland Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Borden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
