Soccer Game Preview: MacArthur vs. Winn

The MacArthur Brahmas will venture away from home to take on the Winn Mavericks at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (MacArthur has four straight wins, Winn has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Tuesday, MacArthur made easy work of Harlandale and carried off a 6-1 victory. Considering the Brahmas have won four matchups by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Winn lost 5-1 to South San Antonio on Tuesday.

MacArthur's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for Winn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went MacArthur's way against Winn when the teams last played back in January, as MacArthur made off with a 6-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for MacArthur since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
