For the first time this season, Smithville was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Independence Blue Devils could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

With that draw, Smithville's record moves to 0-2-1.

Smithville has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Rittman on the 26th. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Vermilion on the 23rd.
