Basketball Game Preview: Traders Point Christian Knights vs. Frontier Falcons

The Traders Point Christian Knights will face off against the Frontier Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Traders Point Christian turned things around against Central Christian Academy last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Chargers as they made off with a 65-39 win.

Kam Reese had an outrageously good game as he shot 86% from the field on his way to 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quentin Jones, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points.

Traders Point Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They are 4-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Meanwhile, Frontier had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Clinton Central with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-42. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Traders Point Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Frontier, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Traders Point Christian lost to Frontier on the road by a decisive 56-39 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Traders Point Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
