Basketball Game Preview: Middleton Vikings vs. Skyview Hawks

Having just played yesterday, the Middleton Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Skyview Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.

If Skyview heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Middleton took over last week. Everything went Middleton's way against Bishop Kelly on Monday as Middleton made off with a 50-26 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

Elsie Wyatt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 of 10 en route to 14 points and five steals. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Zoey Blackwell, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Skyview took a blow against Jerome on Saturday, falling 61-22. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Middleton and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Skyview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Middleton's way against Skyview when the teams last played back in January of 2018, as Middleton made off with a 54-32 victory. Does Middleton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Skyview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
