The Andrews Mustangs lost against the Brownwood Lions back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Andrews took a hard 28-14 fall against Brownwood. While losing is never fun, Andrews can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while Brownwood is ranked 116th).

When it comes to explaining why Andrews lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaesean DeBouse. Despite the final result, he rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Mullen, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Andrews now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Brownwood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Andrews will look to defend their home field on Friday against Big Spring at 7:00 p.m. Brownwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
