South Elgin won the last time they faced Elgin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Storm came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 2-0.

South Elgin's offense was headlined by Cassie Verley and Camryn Boyd, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Paige Genke and her 12 assists. Kiersten Lenox controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

South Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Elgin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-24.

Looking ahead, South Elgin will head out on the road to take on Glenbard East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Dundee-Crown on the 19th.
