Volleyball Recap: Ark City Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Ark City Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Attica Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ark City Christian Academy of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14.

Attica's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liberty Swingle, who had six kills, four aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was Emma Asper, who had nine assists and three aces.

Ark City Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Attica, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ark City Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Life Prep at 5:30 p.m. on October 7. As for Attica, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Caney Valley on the 27th.
