Portola had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They claimed a resounding 47-0 win over the Laguna Beach Breakers. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Portola's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Laguna Beach, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Portola is set to challenge their familiar foe University at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 8.8, the Trojans 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Laguna Beach will take on rival Irvine at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
