North Iredell fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against St. Stephens on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-5. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

North Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for St. Stephens, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-10 record.

Coming up, North Iredell will square off against Starmount at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Stephens, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Foard at 2:00 p.m. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
