Volleyball Recap: Blackman Falls Short Against Ranked Page

Blackman faced Page in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Blaze fell 2-0 to the Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Blaze in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Page can attribute much of their success to Carlos Hernandez, who had five digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Hernandez a new career-high. Rehan Sheik also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Blackman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Page, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Blackman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Page, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Upperman on the 10th.
