Volleyball Game Preview: Oakridge Owls vs. The Awty International Rams

The Oakridge Owls will face off against The Awty International Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oakridge has six straight victories, The Awty International has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Oakridge had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cooper on Friday. The Owls were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dragons.

Oakridge not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cooper between 19 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, The Awty International suffered their biggest loss since October 22, 2024 last Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to St. Pius X.

The Awty International was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.

The Awty International's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Oakridge, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
