Baseball Recap: West Boca Raton Victorious

It's playoff time, and West Boca Raton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Deerfield Beach Bucks by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulls.

Gavin Russell tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. West Boca Raton is 6-2 when Russell allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-12 otherwise.

At the plate, West Boca Raton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Fallacara-Saunders, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Casey Turner was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

West Boca Raton's record now sits at 13-14. As for Deerfield Beach, they moved to 14-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
