Baseball Recap: Amity Comes Up Short

Amity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Santiam Christian Eagles, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Amity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Santiam Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Amity will square off against Taft at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Santiam Christian, they will challenge Willamina at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
