Football Game Preview: Menendez Falcons vs. Crescent City Raiders

The Menendez Falcons will square off against the Crescent City Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Menendez has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Crescent City will arrive with three straight victories.

Menendez's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Ponte Vedra offense got past them. The Falcons took a blow against the Sharks on Wednesday, falling 33-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Sharks are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Crescent City owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They walked away with a 7-0 win over Palatka.

Crescent City pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.6 points on average over those games. As for Menendez, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Menendez didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Crescent City when the teams last played back in April of 2024, but they still walked away with a 6-0 victory.
