Softball Recap: Klein Forest Comes Up Short

Klein Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Magnolia West Mustangs, falling 23-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-6 back in February.

Ryleigh Culberson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Elecia Johnson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Klein Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Magnolia West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Klein Forest will take on Klein at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Klein's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Klein Forest's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Magnolia West, they will challenge Klein Collins at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia West will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
