Vista del Lago has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. Moreno Valley wouldn't let Redlands East Valley keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Moreno Valley can thank Jeremiah Reed and Malele Vaiolo for forcing both of them. Casmir Ezeonu was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Vista del Lago's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Moreno Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Everything went Vista del Lago's way against Moreno Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2023 as Vista del Lago made off with a 41-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vista del Lago since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
