Softball Recap: Grove City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Titusville last Thursday, Grove City came back down to earth. Grove City came up short against the Mercer Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Grove City now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mercer, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Grove City will take on Cochranton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grove City's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cochranton has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Mercer, they will challenge Slippery Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
