Baseball Game Preview: Comstock Colts vs. White Pigeon Chiefs

The Comstock Colts will challenge the White Pigeon Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Comstock has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 17.

On Monday, Comstock came up short against Marcellus and fell 10-6.

Dom Narwick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Smith, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, White Pigeon's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hartford.

Comstock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for White Pigeon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Comstock took their victory against White Pigeon when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 16-2 score. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
