Basketball Recap: North Brunswick Comes Up Short

North Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 51-33 fall against the Purnell Swett Rams.

Leading Purnell Swett to victory were Zaylee Hunt and Kamryn Locklear. Hunt posted ten points and four steals, while Locklear earned nine points and seven assists. Those four steals gave Hunt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnna Sampson, who put up five points and three steals.

North Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Purnell Swett, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Purnell Swett will take on Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. North Brunswick will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' game: after the Rams face off against the Eagles, they'll take on North Brunswick again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
